  It doesn't look like Van Gogh's former studio, but the openness of mind has remained. A shelter for students, artists, globe trotters for twenty years, this well managed hostel is located in a quiet street, minutes away from transportation, and the Botanique. The 228 beds are spread from single rooms to small dormitories. The bar opens at 6:30pm, with affordable beverages, chess and checker boards. A well equipped kitchen allows guests to use the cooking facilities, and the laundry room deserves its popular use. Internet is available, and fares include bedsheets and breakfast. The hostel stays open year round, rooms are accessible 24/24, and the reception works from 7:30 am to 2am. Not too many hostels in Europe offer this level of service and atmosphere.
